Viktor makes History

Viktor Troicki has helped the Serbian Davis Cup Team to win it’s first ever world group tie against the USA. In front of 16.000 spectators of the Belgrade Arena, Viktor beat John Isner during the opening match 76 67 75 64. World’s no.2 Novak Djokovic did the rest dominating Sam Querrey on Friday and beating Isner in a spectacular 5 sets match on Sunday. Good news from the other courts as well.

Alex Dolgopolov continues his run towards te top 50, his goal for 2010. In Meknes, Morocco, Alex won his first challenger title of 2010, beating Portuguese Riu Machado in the Final 75 62. Together with his friend Artem Smirnov he reached also the final of the doubles event, in which they eventually lost to Andujar/Cipolla. Alex and his coach Jack Reader are taking a week off before returning to Morocco where Alex will attend the Rabat and Marrakech challengers. "Our first goal is reached" Said Jack Reader after the finals.

Alex Dolgopolov gets close to Top 100!

Alex Dolgopolov is only 1 spot away from the top 100, after reaching the final at the 30.000 Euro Challenger of Tanger, Morocco. In the final of an almost rained out tournament (some players played 3 matches on the same day) Alex lost to Stephane Robert from France: 7-6, 6-4. Good news also from South America,

Chiudinelli is ‘Comeback of the Year’

Marco Chiudinelli has been awarded the ATP ‘Comeback of the Year 2009 Award’. The fantastic run of the second half of 2009, in which Marco had to go through qualies and picked up over 400 ATP points, will remain a historic achievement. In total Marco moved up from Future tournaments (ATP 700) to Master Series tournaments (ATP 54) in one season. The other winners are: Roger Federer (Player of the year and Sportsmanship Award) ,
