It all started a bit accidentally... When I was 5-6 years old, soccer was my passion, I played in a team in my neighbourhood. My father and my grandfather were the first ones who put a racket in my hand and at that time I decided that I wanted to know more about this world. But I didn’t know what was waiting for me. Now that I’m 24 I’m still on the tennis courts and I dedicate my whole life to this wonderful sport, day after day. It is a continuous fight… it is a long road and it is tiring, but the emotions a match gives you are unique and indescribable. Actually, I think I was born to be a sportsman; it’s difficult for me to imagine what a different life I could have had. Maybe I would have wanted to continue to study, but I believe that it’s never to late for that. During my long trips around the world I don’t stop admiring the beauty of places where I go to. But after a hard match, I have to admit that sometimes I prefer to relax while reading a book (Paul Coelho is one of my favourites) or even play Playstation with my friends. After all the tournaments my favourite “oasis” remains always my city Palermo… There I found my balance, during the last years, on a professional level (with my personal team led by my coach Francesco Cinŕ) but also on a psychological level. Life is made of dreams…I’m trying to make mine come true… |
