I have now been playing for 20 years, and tennis has brought almost everything to me: joy and sadness, tears and smiles, fear and confidence. Well, as you can see, it would probably be too long to describe every intense moment I have been going through, that's why I chose to tell you guys about one particular story that touched me.I was 17 at the time, each year during Wimbledon I would stay in front of the TV watching Pete and Stefan my idols. I have always dreamed to play one of those guys one day and I couldn't wait to start the professional ATP circuit. It happened in 1994 in Denmark. After having lost in the quarterfinals of the first two tounaments I finally qualified in the third leg and eventually reached the quarter final.I did not realize right away, but two weeks later, when the ranking came out. I saw my name [Coutelot: ATP N.1250, Edberg: ATP N.2, Sampras: ATP N.1] on the computer list! I had reached one part of my goals, that is being ranked right behind my idols... By the way, my life is not just about tennis, one of my favourite hobbies is to play music with my friends and imitate singers such as Ben Harper, Dave Mathews or Jeff Buckley. I have heard some people around saying I could have made a good singer; I'll keep that in mind when I will be done with tennis. To close this little piece of art, I would like to thank all of my family, my friends, my coach and a special thank to my dog "Bandit" and my frog "J'tèclate la tete" who have largely contributed to my happiness!
