Stefano Galvani, one of the faster ground stroke hitters on the tour. He hits flat on both sides and has terrific returns, that assured him wins against great servers like Rusedsky, Kafelnikov and Lijubicic. Unluckily in October 2003, while he was about to move to into the top 100, he had a car accident on the highway, while driving home from practice. He underwent eye surgery, and it took him a whole year, before he could see enough to play tennis. Back into the Top 200 at the end of 2005 Stefano has set high goals for this season. Last year Stefano got married with Francesca and now he is a happy father of little Giulia, who is regularly travelling with him to the tournaments. The family team promises to be very succesful and Stefano has already reached his first Challenger final in Barletta. Stefano has played for the Italian Davis Cup Team, and was Italian Champion in 2001.
