Igor Kunitsyn is a very quick and aggressive player. His strength are his excellent return of serve and a great timing on the ball. Although hard court being his best surface, he was semi-finalist at the Roland Garros Junior Tournament in 2000. Igor has managed to enter the top 100 in 2006, and he is not satisfied with it. In October 2006 he reached 2 semifinals in a row in his home soil: In St. Petersburg and in Moscow. Since August 2006 he practices together with Dimitry Tursunov in the US, and they often play doubles together.
