my diary

Hello everybody! I’m getting some great satisfactions, lately!. I won the Grand Prix of Casablanca, and I beat Jonas Bjorkman in Sweden, on a center court full of Swedish supporters.
The funny thing is that I don’t think I’m playing much better than I did during the last years, when I was winning a future tournament every now and then.
I started playing satellite and futures tournaments when I was 17 so that’s quite while ago. Since then I have been hanging between position 250 and 450 ATP. I almost got the feeling that it was my level, and could not improve much more. The problem was not my tennis level, but my tournament schedule. If you play only small tournaments you will never be a big player. Both coach and manager kept telling me that I should play bigger tournaments, and finally they convinced me. Now my life has changed completely. If I beat Hrbaty why can’t I beat anyone else? If you are a tennis player and you want to succeed, then you have to take risks and think big, investing all the money you have in your tennis, and without thinking of ATP points. That’s the only way of making the big step. Good luck!
Santi
P.S. keep following me, I’m just begun!
