Ola, here is Santiago Ventura Bertomeu. I‘m from Castellon in Spain and I‘m twentyone years old. I started playing when I was six. For me tennis is a beautiful sport that gives me the possibility to know the world and meet new people.
When you play tennis you have a lot of spare time, but you can‘t always do what you feel like. My coach wants me to concentrate on my game and to rest when I‘m not playing, so I read a lot of adventure books and listen to popmusic. My great dream is to be among the top fifty singles players in the world and among the best thirty doubles players.
My best friend and ex training partner Juan Carlos Ferrero (I practice in Alicante now) is also an example to me for how to reach the top. I really admire his seriousness and I try to be as professional as he is, although I don’t always succeed. The gap between the two of us is still too big to play the same tournaments as we did in juniors, but I will do all I can to compete in the big tour events soon.
If you know some great books I should read or other tips on what to do in a hotel room, e-mail them to me, please! Adios, Santi
