Santiago Ventura is surely one of the most talented payers in the world. He can litterally drive any opponent crazy with his perfect changes of speed and drop shots. As it often happens to players who have many game solutions, the breakthrough came a bit later than people expected. It al happened in 2004, when santi won his first ATP Tour event he had ever attended (Casablanca). In the finals he dominated world's no.20 Dominik Hrbaty. although experiencing his first World Team cup partecipation, in 2005, Santi had difficulties adapting to the rythms of the tour, and slowly lost confidence and ranking. It took a whole year of rigourous hard training to get him into best shape again, and in april 2007, he finally made his first appearance in a Tour event since 2005, reaching the semifinals. He also collected the title at the Milano challenger, and moved back up into the top 150. Now he is looking forward to ending the second year of his career inside the top 100. We have no doubt.
