Personal
Viktor was born on the 10th of February 1986, in Belgrade, Serbia. He began playing at the age of five with countryman Nenad Trifunovic as his coach. His nickname is Vik and he speaks Serbian and English. His parents are Aleksandar, a lawyer and Mila, an economist. When Viktor was 13 years old he had to leave home with his mother, because of the war in Serbia, and went to live and practise in Boca Raton, Florida. At the age of 16 he and his mother went back to Serbia. Viktor is inspired by Andre Agassi, who was his childhood idol. He enjoys all sports and when he was younger he used to play soccer and wasn’t sure whether to choose for tennis or soccer. He is fan of the Partisan Belgrade team. His favourite shot is serve and he considers hard court to be his favourite surface. Since 2005 he is coached by Jan de Witt, who also works with Marco Chiudinelli.
